June 28, 2025 (Sat.) - sun & sunsets
Lynn slept in until almost 0900! Rare for her as she’s usually an early morning riser (0500 pre-retirement, about 0630-0700 post-retirement). It was slated to be a warm day. It’s Saturday and we didn’t do much and didn’t really go anywhere.
Lynn got a welcome phone call from her oldest son, just because. That made her day! 🙂 Then spent the day in the sun and working on the blog and other small chores. Kirk spent the day putting our new license plates on the newly washed truck and other vehicles and grilling up some pork chops!
On our evening walk with Otis, Lynn spotted a HUGE moth by the bathrooms. This campground must have huge moths. I suppose if ours lived long enough they might get this big, but thankfully not! Lynn would burn the RV down if they got that big! Yikes! So perhaps it’s the campground, not our RV that is the culprit…hopefully!! She considered putting her hand next to it for scale but bailed—harmless or not, that thing looked like it came straight out of a horror movie!
The evening sky absolutely stole the show—a fiery orange glow paired with brooding gray clouds and a light drizzle, teasing an incoming storm. We snapped a ton of pics, but let’s be honest… the camera couldn’t quite capture the magic.
Weather – High 83*, Low 59*. Wind 1-15 mph.
Traffic – None. Didn’t go anywhere.
Food – Grilled pork chops!
Notable – Orange skies.
Screen time – Chapelwaite (meh…)
