July 18, 2026 (Sat.) – Lazy Day Saturday.

Lazy Day Saturday

We had nothing on the agenda today, which felt about right for a Saturday. Lynn was up around 6:00 a.m. and took an 8:30 walk along the Nature Trail, but her toothache was still in full “ruin‑your‑day” mode. Advil and antibiotics are doing whatever slow magic they do, but tooth pain doesn’t care. She didn’t feel like doing much — and honestly, she committed to that goal beautifully. A little blogging, a little photo review, and a whole lot of not moving.

Kirk rolled out at 9:00. Breakfast was simple: cereal for him and soft food for Lynn. We knocked out a few chores — Kirk cleaned up the BBQ, bikes, tables, and chairs outside, while Lynn handled dishes and laundry inside. We also did some trip planning to figure out where in Montana we wanted to wander next. And we booked our Lady of the Rockies tour for tomorrow — the 90‑foot statue perched on the Continental Divide, keeping watch over Butte like a very tall, very calm guardian.

Lunch was sandwiches and ravioli again for Lynn, followed by an afternoon of TV. Kirk even squeezed in some traffic school, proving that at least one of us was productive. Around 2:00 p.m., the weather rolled in: rain, gusty winds, and thunderstorms. It poured hard, briefly, and by 6:30 we thought we could sit outside and enjoy the cooler air. Five minutes later, the thunderstorms returned. Back inside we went.

Dinner was RV‑style comfort food — air‑fryer baked potatoes with pulled pork. Lynn’s tooth was brutal all day, and her productivity took a nosedive, but she still managed to catch up a little.

Weather – High 86*, Low 57*. Winds 3-12/23 mph. Rain = 0% forecast (but it did). Slight humidity from the storm.

Traffic – None. Didn’t go anywhere.

Food – Nothing notable. Ate in the RV all day.

Notable – Nothing to report other than Lynn’s toothache.

Screen time – The Hawk, Lucky, Ride or Die.
