October 17, 2025 (Fri.) - Sunrises and Sunsets.

After a full day of sightseeing yesterday, we intentionally kept things low-key today—just some rest, a few chores, and a chance to catch our breath.

Lynn was up at sunrise, determined to chip away at the blog backlog (she’s officially two weeks behind now!). Meanwhile, Kirk rolled out of bed around 9:30 AM and turned his attention to the tailgate. He drilled a few holes to help drain out trapped water—possibly the culprit behind the soft spots we’ve noticed.

Aside from a quick trip to the hardware store for Kirk, we stayed put in the RV all day. It was a mix of writing, tidying up, and simply relaxing.

As evening settled in and Lynn was still typing away, she glanced out the window and gasped. The sky had erupted into a brilliant blaze of pink and orange—an absolutely stunning sunset. She called out to Kirk, “We have to go outside!” and we did. The sky looked like it was on fire, a perfect bookend to the quiet beauty of the sunrise that started the day.

We may not have gone far today, but we were treated to nature’s best show—twice.

Only pics today are sunrise and sunset pics.
