October 7, 2025 (Tue.) - More of Frankenmuth.
The day began under a steady drizzle, making for a slow and cozy start. Lynn was up around 8 AM, while Kirk didn’t emerge until nearly 11—likely still recovering from yesterday’s indulgent feast.
With the rain lingering through the morning and early afternoon, we stayed inside and tackled a few chores. By 2:30 PM, the skies had cleared enough for us to head out and explore the parts of Frankenmuth we hadn’t yet seen. We browsed for souvenirs (more bags, more puzzles!) and treated ourselves to some delicious beignets—powdered sugar everywhere, but totally worth it!
By 5 PM, we were craving schnitzel instead of the usual chicken dinners. We tried Zehnder’s again, hoping for a good meal, but after ten minutes without even a greeting, we decided to walk out. Fortunately, the Bavarian Inn—just across the street, but apparently under the same family ownership, welcomed us warmly. The service was excellent, and the schnitzel hit the spot.
After dinner, we wandered through the shops once more before heading back to the RV around 7 PM. Lynn wasn’t feeling her best, so we kept things low-key and ended the evening watching a mediocre movie that cost us a surprising $25.
Not a particularly eventful day, but a much-needed recovery from yesterday’s feast—and a chance to stay dry and relaxed.
